think you'd like to try your hand at screenprinting?
you totally should.
here are some resources i highly recommend checking out if you want to give it a go. although, more than anything, i can't emphasize the importance of trial and error strongly enough. have fun with it!
- my own ultimate-you-can-screenprint-at-home tutorial : it's really DIY, very accessible and perfect if you're feeling adventurous. i'm self taught, and this is what i've learned through years of making my own screens, lots of mistakes and having so much fun.
- speedball : this is the first set of instructions that i consulted relentlessly when i was teaching myself through the process of burning a screen for the first time. good stuff.
- lotta prints : a great book from a fabulous designer that fearlessly encourages you (and gives tips and ideas) to print on just about anything. totally inspiring.
- fingerprint - the art of handmade elements in graphic design : this book was an amazing gift from a good friend, and i love it as inspiration for borrowing from and pushing toward new graphics in my work.
